Barrel Fermented Limited Edition
Our Barrel Fermented Limited Edition Malbec and Barrel Fermented Limited Edition Cabernet Franc are the flagship wines of Wicked Fox Wines, each designed to age beautifully for up to 30 years. These wines use ultra-premium grapes and require time to reach their full potential.
While some of the more approachable vintages will be ready for enjoyment sooner, they will still benefit from an additional year or two of aging after their release (which happens five years after the vintage date on the label). These wines pair perfectly with red meats and cheeses, offering a rich bouquet of blackberry, black cherry, and ripe plum aromas. On the palate, expect bold fruit flavors followed by a smooth, long-lasting finish.
Grand Reserva Malbec
The Grand Reserva Malbec is a carefully crafted 50/50 blend of our Barrel Fermented Limited Edition Malbec and stainless-steel fermented Malbec, aged for 20 months in first-use French oak barrels. After this period, the wine spends an additional 3 years in the bottle before it is released. This unique process creates a wine that offers a fascinating balance of complex dried fruit notes from the barrel fermentation and fresh fruit flavors from the stainless-steel fermentation.
Although it's a big wine, it is more approachable than the Limited Editions and can be enjoyed sooner. With an estimated aging potential of 25 years, it’s ready to drink now, offering ripe plum and blackberry flavors complemented by crisp acidity and refined tannins. The wine’s remarkable balance and long finish highlight the complexity of the fruit, making it a standout choice for connoisseurs.
Henley Edition
The Henley Edition is a sophisticated blend of Malbec and Cabernet Franc, with Malbec taking center stage. The addition of Cabernet Franc lends a touch of structure, creating a balanced and refined wine. This smooth, versatile blend is perfect for pairing with a variety of dishes, from elegant dinners to cheese courses.
